BE A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS

BOOM…racing through Terminal A of Atlanta Airport finds me stunned and overjoyed to see this sign in the middle of the terminal:

HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS NOT WELCOME.

This is the first time I’ve seen a U.S. airport make a public commitment to help end human trafficking and the last quote on the sign, “Be a voice for the voiceless,” is from St. Augustine, a quote I’ve used in more speeches than I count over the last 20 years. This sign is PROGRESS. Thank you, Atlanta, for being part of the change that protects victims of the forced sex trade and its impact. Be a voice for the voiceless, indeed.

All peace, beautiful people, especially to those among us who are survivors of this violence. All peace. Dora
